Was looking at their website and saw this for 179,990. Is that a typo or are Z8s really going for this much?

They have three E39 M5s listed for over $60k...and a $75k one just "sold." I am convinced they troll the E39 market by listing cars at ridiculous prices and mark them as sold to make people think there are idiots actually paying these prices, inflating the market. These cars come back as "repeat visitor" cars in a couple months. So they are genius/evil marketers or people return their cars frequently for...other reasons.

I always forget how much I like these cars. $179k is a little high. Most of the ones on DuPont Registry are around $135k. The z8 is both unappreciated and un-depreciated.

Some rich fucker pulled up to pick up their kid in a silver z8 when I was in high school. It was the last car I ever expected. That experience, that bond movie scene with the saw blade helicopters and a couple of articles in Motor Trend are all I really remember about them.

I almost bought a 97 m3/4 off of these guys a few years back but they are not willing to negotiate at all and they inflate the price of anything they pull in.

The owner is a master BMW tech so he thinks he can charge a ridiculous premium
